A few years ago I was on a roasted meat kick and it occurred to me that maybe I could even roast burgers! They turned out amazing and I’ve been making them this way ever since. Not only do they stay incredibly juicy, the cleanup is a breeze!
* Oven Baked Burgers *
ground meat, room temperature (you can use beef, turkey, pork, etc)
salt
black pepper
foil covered cookie sheet with rack
Patty the burgers then gently press them into the rack to create slight indentations.
Flip over and set down on rack.
This ensures the burgers stay flat.
Season generously with salt and black pepper.
Add any additional seasonings if desired.
Bake in a 400 degree oven for 25 minutes – I generally make 5 oz hamburgers and this cooks them to medium rare.
Adjust time as needed for size and desired doneness.
Top with all of your favorites!
This was one of my ultimate burgers – I piled it as high as I could, even topping with an onion ring dippy egg and bacon!
Oven baking is great for making cheese stuffed burgers!
Perfect for mini burgers too!
